2020 Science Awards Found Their Owners

The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) and Turkey Academy of Sciences (TUBA) 2020 Science Awards, found a ceremony held at the Presidential Complex with the participation of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. As a result of the evaluations made by the TÜBİTAK Board of Directors, 1 special award, 4 science awards and 13 incentive awards were given. In addition, 3 scientists in 4 different categories were awarded the TÜBA International Academy Award, 31 scientists the TÜBA-GEBİP Award, and 8 works were awarded the TÜBA-TESEP Award.

The names of the TÜBİTAK 2020 Science Awards are as follows:

In the field of basic sciences, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Soylak and Prof. Dr. İsmail Türkan, in the field of engineering sciences, Prof. Dr. Özgür Barış Akan and Prof. Dr. While Hilmi Volkan Demir was buying, Prof. Dr. Cengiz Sinan Özkan received the TÜBİTAK Special Award.

Within the scope of Scientific Copyright Work Program (TESEP), Assoc. Dr. Evren Küçük and Fatma Betül Altıntaş were deemed worthy of honorable mention, while Prof. Dr. Alp Can, in the field of health and life sciences, Assoc. Dr. Ersin Erdoğan and Prof. Dr. Altay Tayfun Özcan was awarded in the field of social sciences.
