Turkey's Railway Network 12 thousand 803 Kilometers Output

Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, said, “The breakthrough period in railways that started in 2003 continues today with acceleration. We increased our railway network to 12 thousand 803 kilometers. For the first time in railways, we started to produce rolling and towed vehicles with national designs. "We need to continue our investments in railways without slowing down so that the advantages of our geographical location can be transformed into economic and commercial gains."

Our Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that the projects that will ensure equality in development between east and west and carry economic vitality to every village of the country continue uninterruptedly and with great care. He reported that railways were built to carry people's jobs, food, education, social and cultural wealth. Karaismailoğlu continued his statements as follows:

We increased our railway network to 12 thousand 803 kilometers. In order for the advantages provided by our geographical location to turn into economic and commercial gains, we need to continue our investments in railways without slowing down. "

We have completed a total of 312,2 km of urban rail system line to date, including Marmaray in Istanbul, Başkentray in Ankara, İZBAN line in İzmir, KONYARAY projects in Konya, and put them into service of our nation. 4 of the 7 subway projects we have undertaken in the province, we contribute to Turkey's economy £ 16,5 billion. 874 million passengers have been transported so far with the subways we have implemented in Istanbul, Ankara, Kocaeli and Antalya. We have 6 projects under construction in 9 more provinces. "
