The opening date for the Rumeli Hisarüstü-Aşiyan Funicular Line has been announced. Istanbulites also decided on the color of the Rumeli Hisarüstü-Aşiyan Funicular Line vehicles, which will be put into service in October. The color of the funicular, nearly 70 thousand people voted, the "Sea Blue" was chosen for the funicular that brings Rumelihisarı to the sea.
It is built between the Hat Rumeli Hisarüstü region, which is about 1 kilometer long, and Aşiyan Park on the Bosphorus coast. When completed, it will facilitate access between the M6 line integration and the Bosphorus coast and Büyükdere street.
