Held for the 11th time this year, "Atlas Logistics Awards" found their owners. IETT was awarded the Jury Special Award for "Putting Electric Vehicles into Service in Adalar District".
The award ceremony of the "Atlas Logistics Awards" competition was held digitally on December 15, 2020. EKO MMI Fairs by 11 years of uninterrupted logistics sector of the media and civil society organizations to support the ongoing competition's award ceremony Deputy Minister of Commerce Mr. Riza Danube Turagay, Turkey Exporters Assembly (TIM) Deputy Chairman Mustafa Gültepe, industry associations are important in the business world with presidents and managers names and professionals of the logistics industry participated. Successful brands and professionals of the logistics sector received their awards at the ceremony, and successful export companies that create value in the logistics sector with their exports were also awarded.
The award ceremony, in which a total of 68 candidates competed in different categories and 11 export companies were deemed worthy of awards by the jury, started with the speech of Deputy Minister of Trade Rıza Tuna Turagay. In particular emphasis on the importance of logistics Turagay pandemic period, Turkey's logistics infrastructure investments, gave information about the arrangements made in the transport and logistics field.
Later, on behalf of the organizing committee, İlker Altun announced the organizations that won awards in their categories. Altun said, “It was a very important project. We all regretted the use of horses as cars for human transport on the islands. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality has taken this issue and put electric vehicles into service in a way that does not pollute the nature and does not disturb the silence. Horses now live their lives by eating well in the greenery. Therefore, we deemed this initiative worthy of an award, and we decided to present an award to the IETT General Directorate for this contribution to the Adalar District. We congratulate them ”.
