IMM calculated that the rail system would cost 192 million Euros (approximately 1.8 billion TL) in its current state. However, the Ministry of Transport asked IMM to revise the 3-stop line, including the Camlica Tower. Thus, the cost increased to 250 million Euros (approximately 2 billion 335 million TL). It was stated that the cost was high, as the cut-and-cover technique will be applied in the project. IMM made the cost-benefit calculation of the project. In technical studies, it was informed that the line would cause harm, not public benefit.
