Wu Yanhua, Deputy Director of the National Space Agency of China, announced that they are planning to send four spaceships to space within two years, as part of the program to build a space station. Wu Yanhua stated at the press conference held to make statements about the Chang'e-5 Moon mission in Beijing, that China's manned space program will be very busy in 2021 and 2022.

In the next two years, a total of 11 missions to build a space station / base are projected to be carried out, Wu said. After the Chinese space station is established, many scientific experiments are planned to be carried out on orbit. The Manned Space Missions Agency announced in October that China's manned space program had entered the final preparation phase of the manned mission, with the selection of a new group of 18-person reserve astronauts.
