Within the scope of combating the coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic, healthcare workers working with their self-sacrificing work can use EGO General Directorate public transportation vehicles (Bus, Metro and ANKARAY) free of charge as of March 22, 2020, with the instruction of Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş could benefit.
The period of free use of public transport, which was determined until December 31, 2020, has been extended to 30 June 2021 this time. Healthcare workers will continue to benefit from the public transportation vehicles of the EGO General Directorate by showing their personnel ID cards with photographs and approved by their institutions.
