The launch of the 12th Transport and Communications Council was held on Friday, December 11, with the participation of the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Adil Karaismailoğlu. Our meeting is therefore an extremely important stage ”.

Stating that since 2003, 910,3 billion TL has been invested in the field of transportation and communication, Minister Karaismailoğlu said, “We increased the length of our divided road from 6 thousand 100 kilometers to 28 thousand kilometers. Thanks to 28 thousand kilometers of divided roads, we saved 18,5 billion TL annually. 3,9 million tons less carbon emissions. By increasing traffic safety, we reduced the death rate in accidents, saved vehicle operating expenses, increased travel comfort and shortened its duration. We increased the average speed from 40 km to 88 km. While vehicle mobility increased by 2003 percent between 2019 and 160, we reduced the loss of life per 100 million vehicle-km by 79 percent thanks to our infrastructure development efforts ”.

Minister Karaismailoğlu also gave information about the openings to be made in the near future.

Giving the good news that the opening of the Akhisar Ring Road will take place tomorrow, Minister Karaismailoğlu said, “On Wednesday, we will open the second section of the Ankara-Niğde Highway and open the entire highway to traffic. Next week, we will open the Kömürhan Bridge and put it into service. We will open the 2th Section of the Northern Marmara Motorway. We will also open the Ankara Gölbaşı City Pass. In the month of January 6; "We will open the Devegeçidi Bridge, Kızılcahamam-Çerkeş Tunnel and Tohma Bridge on the Diyarbakır-Ergani-Elazığ Road."
