Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, stated that efforts are made to facilitate the lives of people with disabilities with the arrangements made in the field of transportation and communication and the services provided. Karaismailoğlu gave information about the activities carried out for the disabled in the field of transportation and communication on the occasion of December 3, International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

Reminding that arrangements are made to facilitate the travel of disabled citizens at TCDD stations and stations, Karaismailoğlu said that there are escalators and elevators for the disabled, disabled ramps, yellow line, disabled toilet, disabled facility sketch, audible warning, perceptible surface, wheelchair services are available.

Karaismailoğlu stated that the Orange Table Service Point application, which was initiated last year, provides service at 13 stations and stations where high-speed trains (YHT) stop, and that the application includes taking disabled passengers from the Orange Table Service Point at the entrance of the station / station and taking care of these people until the end of the journey. .

Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that disabled passengers can use the "Disabled Passenger Notification Form" button that appears on the summary screen while purchasing tickets online, and those who cannot fill in the form can apply to the Orange Table Service Point.

Karaismailoğlu pointed out that the General Directorate of TCDD Taşımacılık AŞ, which serves millions of passengers every day in YHTs, main line and regional trains, Marmaray and Başkentray, is one of the institutions that serve the most disabled passengers in the transportation system.

Emphasizing that disabled passengers can easily buy train tickets or make reservations with their assigned member numbers, Karaismailoğlu stated that a box office is allocated for disabled passengers to buy their tickets without waiting, and that personnel training is given importance in order to communicate with the hearing impaired.

Karaismailoğlu stated that the departure times of the trains or the stations where they will stop are transmitted with audio and written notifications prepared for the deaf and visually impaired passengers, and said that the "Audio Book" content helps visually impaired passengers to complete their travels with pleasure.
