The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks (DKMP) makes use of technology in hunting protection and control studies it conducts to protect wildlife species.
Last weekend, when there was a curfew in the entire country due to the Covid-19 epidemic, which affected the world, DKMP teams evaluated a report in Sivas, and with the support of Divriği District Gendarmerie Station personnel, carried out poaching with a drone in the district of Divriği, which is the subject of the notification. .
As a result of the examinations, 4 people, who were found in the image and who were found to go on an illegal hunt for wild goats, were followed by a "drone" and were caught within the borders of Erzincan.
4 people caught were fined 18 TL for illegal hunting and violation of street restrictions, and the rifles with them were delivered to the gendarmerie units.
This event is a first in terms of pursuit of poaching with a drone. DKMP General Directorate will continue to conduct field inspections in this way.
