AUDITS INCREASED
During the implementation of the measures taken throughout the country in the fight against the coronavirus epidemic, the additional measures taken by local governments make the struggle even stronger. Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality is also doing the necessary work in order to control the epidemic in all areas. In this context, the planned inspections of indoor and outdoor parking lots and truck parking lots serving throughout Kocaeli were increased due to the epidemic.
OUTBREAK MEASURES
In the inspections carried out by the Parking Services Unit affiliated to the UKOME Branch Directorate of the Department of Transportation, it is firstly checked whether the measures to be taken against the risk of contamination are fulfilled. The rules that business tradesmen should obey both for themselves and for public health are reminded. Afterwards, compliance with the rules that must be followed within the framework of the relevant regulation and its processes are audited.
ADMINISTRATIVE AND FINANCIAL PENALTIES
Administrative and financial sanctions were imposed on businesses that were found to be violating the rules as a result of inspections in Gebze and Izmit districts. In addition, if there are parking lots that are detected to be unlicensed, they are also banned from operation.
