Health Minister Dr. Fahrettin Koca and Minister of Justice Abdulhamit Gül made examinations at the hospital, where 19 patients died in the fire caused by the high-flow oxygen device in the Kovid-9 intensive care unit in Gaziantep.

Minister Koca made statements to press members after receiving information from the authorities at Sanko University Private Sani Konukoğlu Hospital, where the fire occurred with Minister of Justice Abdulhamit Gül.

Expressing that the fire broke out around 04.30:20, Koca continued his words as follows: “We know that the fire broke out with the problem caused by a device we use to deliver high flow oxygen especially in intensive care. Following this, the number of patients in the 19-bed ward was 19. 7 of our 1 people died at the time of the incident. One of our citizens died, especially during the transfer period of 11 patients, and one of our patients died in the hospital 1 hours later, in other words, 4,5 of our 19 patients died. All of our 9 patients are transplanted and their treatment continues in the intensive care units of nearby hospitals. I wish patience and condolences to the relatives of God's mercy to those who lost their lives, and I wish our wounded immediate recovery. "
