Antalya Metropolitan Municipality started the HES coded boarding in public transportation vehicles. While 100 thousand people have been reported to have performed the HES Code-Antalyacard matching process so far, the citizens who do not match the HES code to their cards until January 15 will not be able to benefit from the public transportation service.
As part of the fight against the Covid-19 outbreak, in order to prevent citizens who need to be in quarantine from using public transportation in the city, Antalya Metropolitan Municipality initiated the HES Code application in public transportation in accordance with the circular issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs within the scope of combating the epidemic and the decision of the Antalya Governorship Provincial Hygiene Board. The HES code application prepared by the Ministry of Health for the epidemic period is integrated into Antalyakart and contactless credit cards used in public transportation in Antalya. With the approval of the Ministry of Health, HES code is defined on the cards with the HES query and it is possible to get on the public transportation vehicles.

In the statement made by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Planning and Rail System Department, it was stated that the HES code query process started during the boarding of public transportation vehicles (bus, minibus, Antray and nostalgia tram) and the system works for the control process in the vehicles. Citizens who still do not match HES codes to their cards were asked to complete this process until January 15.

In the statement, it was stated that citizens who do not define HES cannot benefit from public transportation service and people who do not have a balance cannot use other cards. Only the cardholder can use the cards paired with HES and the second swipe will not be allowed.

After the HES code-Antalya card matching is provided, the Antalya cards of the citizens diagnosed with Covid-19 or in contact will be suspended during the isolation period.
