Transport and Infrastructure Minister Karaismailoğlu Fair, Turkey's first emergency response vessels Ne visited Hatun. Minister Karaismailoğlu made evaluations to the journalists about the visit after meeting with Gizem Turan, the first female captain who started working at the General Directorate of Coastal Security.

Minister Karaismailoğlu said, “We are currently on a very important ship under the 15th of July Martyrs Bridge in the Bosphorus. Nene Hatun Ship is a ship built in Yalova, built entirely with local and national means. "It is one of the few ships in the world, with a width of 18 meters, a length of 88 meters, very equipped to respond to accidents, pollution and fires in the Bosphorus."

Pointing out that Gizem Kaptan is a very important personality for the ship, as well as for the Turkish straits and the coast, Minister Karaismailoğlu continued her words as follows:

Gizem Kaptan is one of our colleagues. As a captain, he started to work for the first time in our Ministry and Coastal Safety. He has been doing this job for 3 months. We are also very happy to work with him. I hope that the number of our female friends will increase in the coming days.

Captain Gizem Turan reminded that he started working in the institution 3 months ago and said, “I started with a lot of support. Minister Çavuşoğlu came here and honored me. I have worked as a shipyard captain for 7 months in the shipyard where this ship was built. Therefore, it is a special ship for me. ''

Reminding that she is the first female tugboat captain to enter this institution in Turkey, Turan continued her explanation as follows: I have older sisters who practiced this profession before me. However, I am the first woman to work in this institution and in this position. I hope that with the support of the state, I have also opened a way for my younger siblings. I wanted to be in the Bosphorus and work under its enchanting effect. I am currently in the institution and I am responsible for the security, safety and emergency of the Bosphorus. I started with pleasure and continue with pleasure.

Minister Karaismailoğlu, who received information from the authorities regarding the Nene Hatun Ship, was accompanied by Durmuş Ünüvar, General Manager of Coastal Safety and Chairman of the Board of Directors.
