Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) started to implement new pandemic measures in the city's coastal lines where angling is carried out, in accordance with the circular issued by the Ministry of Interior on December 9.
WORKS WILL BE COMPLETED ASAP
With the work carried out by IMM Traffic Directorate, Eminönü, Karaköy, Üsküdar, KadıköySocial distance markings are made on the bridges of Bebek, İstinye, Unkapanı and Galata. The aim of the study is to keep a distance of at least 3 meters between citizens engaged in angling and thus to reduce the contamination. An intensive work is underway to complete the markings as soon as possible and to arrange the beach bands in accordance with the pandemic rules for amateur fishing citizens.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW MEASURES HAS A PENALTY
The measures taken are not limited to the markings made on the places. It is among the precautions that IMM carefully follows to ensure that citizens engage in angling without exceeding the designated areas, without having a few people in the area limited by signs, and not being found without masks.
In addition, teams affiliated to the IMM Police Department continue their inspections for the implementation of the smoking ban in open spaces published by the Ministry of Interior in November. There are criminal sanctions for those who do not comply with the measures taken. For those who do not heed the warnings, the inspection teams will initiate the necessary legal proceedings within the scope of article 195 of the Turkish Penal Code.
