As a result of the intelligence work carried out within the scope of anti-smuggling activities carried out by the teams of the Istanbul Customs Protection, Smuggling and Intelligence Directorate, it was found that a large amount of fake perfume and hookah tobacco was found in a foreign plate truck. As a result of the work carried out, the teams, which determined the location of the suspicious truck, took action for the operation.
A total of 6 bottles of fake perfume and 100 kilograms of hookah tobacco were seized, hidden among the legal load of the truck, during the search made in the truck with a foreign plate, which was stopped in the Erenköy Customs Directorate area.
As a result of the operation carried out, fake perfumes that violated Intellectual and Industrial Property rights by imitating the products of brands that found buyers at high prices in the market with a customs value of approximately 350 thousand liras and hookah tobacco that threatened public health were seized.
An investigation was launched against those responsible.
