Automotive Industry Association (OSD) announced the production and export numbers and market data for the January-November 2020 period. While the production of the Turkish automotive industry increased by 2019 percent compared to the same period of 5,4, it was 143 thousand 264 units, while 91 thousand 67 cars were produced in the same period.

In the January-November period of 2020, total production decreased by 13 percent and automobile production by 14 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. During this period, total production was 1 million 148 thousand 240 units, and automobile production was 762 thousand 743 units.

In the January-November period of 2020, the total market increased by 73 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 688 thousand 180 units. During this period, the automobile market increased by 67 percent and reached 529 thousand 388 units.

In the commercial vehicle group, production contracted by 2020 percent in the January-November period of 12, while it increased by 3 percent in the heavy commercial vehicle group, it decreased by 13 percent in the light commercial vehicle group. Compared to the January-November period of 2019, the commercial vehicle market increased by 92 percent, the light commercial vehicle market by 93 percent and the heavy commercial vehicle market by 87 percent.

In the January-November period of 2020, compared to the same period of the previous year, total automotive exports decreased by 28 percent on unit basis and automobile exports by 28 percent. During this period, total exports were 821 thousand 900 units, while automobile exports were 542 thousand 83 units.

In the January-November period of 2020, compared to the same period of the previous year, total automotive exports decreased by 19 percent in dollar terms and by 21 percent in euro terms compared to the same period of the previous year. In this period, total automotive exports amounted to $23,1 Billion, while automobile exports decreased by 23 percent to $8,3 Billion. In Euro terms, automobile exports decreased by 24 percent and amounted to € 7,3 billion.

In the January-November period of 2020, compared to the same period of the previous year, total automotive exports decreased by 19 percent in dollar terms and by 21 percent in euro terms compared to the same period of the previous year. In this period, total automotive exports amounted to $23,1 Billion, while automobile exports decreased by 23 percent to $8,3 Billion. In Euro terms, automobile exports decreased by 24 percent and amounted to € 7,3 billion.
