Mayor Büyükkılıç said that even in curfews, efforts are continuing uninterruptedly to make the twisted and dangerous road straight, safe and comfortable.

In the north of Kayseri, on the Hıdırellez Road, which is located on the shore of the Yamula Dam, after Erkilet Boulevard, the works continue at full speed. Mayor of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç said that with the completion of the Hıdırellez road, which has reached the final stage in terms of infrastructure and cost 7.5 million, the region will both be revitalized and the dangerous road will be eliminated.

As it closely concerns the settlements on the shore of the Yamula Dam Lake, the works on Hıdırellez Road, where the city is best watched, have come to an end. While the dangerous bends are completely destroyed and the valleys are filled with soil, the construction of 900 meters long retaining walls, excavation and filling works continue. In order to protect the road infrastructure during the construction works and in case of a possible flood, 2 box culverts of 2 × 180 dimensions and 4 meters in total length are built on dry streams. In addition, ditches are built to collect the water on the road to protect the physical structure of the road and increase driving comfort. On the other hand, 3000 meters of guardrails will be built to ensure the safety of life and property within the scope of the project.

"WE SAY HAPPY TO OUR CITY, OUR KOCASINAN REGION"

Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, in his statement on the subject, said, “We are implementing an important study covering the neighborhoods that will appeal to 10 or more regions known as Hıdırellez Road in the Erkilet region to the north of our city. We are building a road that is approximately 4 kilometers long and consists of 2 lanes, 1 departures and 3 arrival. Here, it will be realized with an intense work such as retaining walls, handrails, culvert and filling, ”he said.

Stating that the asphalt will be made as soon as the next winter season is over, Büyükkılıç said, “The cost of the rapidly continuing 4-kilometer road reaches approximately 7.5 million TL. It will be a means of vitality for our region. It will appeal to the Kızılırmak region and its basin, to the Yamula Dam. It is an important main artery that will revive Kuşçu Social Facilities. The most important of all is to turn the twisted dangerous, risky area into a straight road. We wish good luck to our city and Kocasinan region, ”he said.

Works on the Hıdırellez road are also continuing with the curfew.
