New clothes and shoes sent by donors are delivered to earthquake victims in tents by a clothing bus.

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality mobilized all its means to meet the needs of the earthquake victims after the 30 magnitude earthquake that hit the Aegean Region on 6,9 October. The Metropolitan Municipality also put the clothing bus, which was created by the Social Services Department to meet the clothing needs of citizens living in remote districts and villages, to the service of earthquake victims. Citizens in tents, which were created to keep those whose homes were damaged or destroyed after the earthquake, can access products such as coats, boots and underwear free of charge via the bus.

Stating that the bus with cabin and hangers inside is like a walking store, Aydın said that the earthquake victims especially demanded products such as coats, boots, raincoats, thermal clothes, socks, underwear.
