IMM strengthened its staff by appointing two general managers. Mehmet Aslan Değirmenci was appointed as İSTAÇ General Manager and Yüksel Yalçın was appointed as İSTANBUL ENERJİ A.Ş. Both general managers will take office on Friday, November 13, 2020.
Two new appointments were made in Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM). Mehmet Aslan Değirmenci was appointed as the General Directorate of İSTAÇ vacated by Mustafa Canlı, who passed away due to coronavirus. Currently working as the General Manager of İSTANBUL ENERJİ AŞ, Değirmenci has collaborated with İSTAÇ in many projects, especially in Seymen Landfill Gas Energy Production Facility.
Yüksel Yalçın was appointed as the General Manager of İSTANBUL ENERJİ A.Ş. Both general managers will begin their duties on Friday, November 13, 2020.
YUKSEL YALCIN
Born in 1970, Yüksel Yalçın graduated from YTU Industrial Engineering in 1991. He completed his Master of Business Administration in 2003. He still continues his doctoral studies in the same field.
He started his professional career as Quality Manager at Elopar AŞ. He has held various positions at Öztiryakiler A.Ş. for the last 28 years. He gained expertise in Strategic Management Systems, R&D Center Applications, Electrical and Gas Systems Laboratory Installations, Turquality Applications, Finance Management and Financial Affairs.
Yalçın made presentations on "University-Industry Cooperation / Business Model" at various universities, "Business Excellence Practices" at the International Labor Organization (ILO), "Social Responsibility Practices in Global Firms in Belgium". Yalçın, who has been a member of the Turkish Engineers Association since 1998, has been a member of the General Secretary and the Board of Directors, and still works actively in many NGOs.
MEHMET ASLAN MILLER
Currently serving as the General Manager of ISTANBUL ENERJİ AŞ, Değirmenci was born in 1966 in Braunschweig, Germany. He completed his higher education in the Civil Engineering Department of ITU Faculty of Civil Engineering. He started his professional career between 1989 and 1992 as an engineer in leading projects of his period such as FSM Bridge Ring Roads and Edirne - Kınalı Highway constructions.
As the first in the fuel sector, Turcas Petroleum AŞ, "Türkpetrol in New Century" project, it took part in the implementation of the new corporate identity to stations throughout Turkey. Afterwards, he served as the "Ambarlı Regional Manager". In 2000, after the privatization of Petrol Ofisi "Silver Project" implementation of the new corporate identity of the station and the stations in Turkey he has directed projects for access to modern technical standards. He was appointed as the head of ERK, which was established as the second brand of Petrol Ofisi in 2003. The foundation of the company, he directed the structuring and creation of the brand's dealer network throughout Turkey process. He continued his career as the General Manager of Altınbaş Petrol (Alpet), Bölünmez Petrolcülük (Moil), Kadooğlu Petrolcülük (Kadoil), Pasifik Petrolcülük (Pacific) companies since 2. He served as the General Coordinator at Pacific Holding.
