Deliçay Bridge Completed

Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality completed the bridge work started on Deliçay. Muhtar Turunç said, “Our people had to travel 20 kilometers to reach neighboring neighborhoods. "With the construction of the bridge, the distance has decreased to 30 meters."

Metropolitan Municipality continues its transportation investments throughout the city. In this context, besides new road paving and asphalt works, bridges and art structures are also being built with the aim of shortening the transportation between the neighborhoods. One of the projects initiated under the program has been completed. The concreting works have been completed in the bridge construction on Deliçay, which will provide access to Yeşilyurt, Altınova, Dadağlı, Selimiye, Önsen and Kurtlar Neighborhoods. The teams continue their filling works on the new road. The project, shortening the transportation between the neighborhoods by 20 kilometers, will be integrated with the Önsen Bridge and connection roads to be built.

Stating that they are very pleased with the work carried out, Yeşilyurt Mahallesi Muhtar Abdurrahman Turunç thanked Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Hayrettin Güngör. Turunç said in his statement, “The bridge constructed was an important route. In addition to being the connection road of our Yeşilyurt neighborhood, the bridge provided access to Altınova, Dadağlı, Selimiye, Önsen and Kurtlar regions. This route is also the connection road of Önsen Bridge to be built. Our people had to travel 20 kilometers to reach neighboring neighborhoods. With the construction of the bridge, the distance decreased to 30 meters. This project will significantly reduce the fuel costs of both our people and our farmers. I would like to thank our Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, the Head of Department, the relevant directorates and all those who have contributed, on behalf of myself and all the people of the neighborhood, ”he said.
