The foundation of the Aydın-Denizli Highway was held at the ceremony attended by the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu and the General Manager of Highways Abdulkadir Uraloğlu.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Karaismailoğlu; He said that while bringing every point of our country closer to each other with projects that have the characteristics of reform in land, air, sea and railways, they connect the Eurasia region to important trade and travel routes.
Stating that they will create a circular road network in the Marmara Region with the opening of the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, Minister Karaismailoğlu said, “A vehicle that passes through our new bridge that will directly connect Europe and the Aegean region will depart from any city in Europe and reach the center of Denizli with our uninterrupted highways. "It will provide a comfortable transportation."
Informing that the Aydın-Denizli Motorway project will be 140 km in total, including 2 km 3 × 23 lane main road and 2 km 2 × 163 lane connection road, our Minister said that there are 19 crossroads with different levels, 19 viaducts, 5 highways. stated that the facility will take place.
The Minister also shared the information that with the completion of the Aydın-Denizli Highway, the travel time on the route will decrease from 2 hours 15 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes, thus saving 472 million lira from time and 142 million lira from fuel, a total of 614 million lira annually.
Stating that they spent 563,4 billion lira for highways, Minister Karaismailoğlu said, “We increased the length of the divided road that we took over from 6.100 kilometers to over 27.700 kilometers. We connected almost all of our cities with divided roads and increased the tunnel length from 50 kilometers to 600 kilometers. We increased the total length of bridges and viaducts, which is 311 kilometers, by 680 kilometers. Within the framework of the highway mobilization we initiated, our highway network, which was 2003 kilometers in 1.714, reached 18 kilometers with 1.611 kilometers built in the last 3.325 years. he spoke.
Speaking at the ceremony, General Manager of Highways Abdulkadir Uraloğlu gave the details of the project; “The highway, on which we started the construction work between Aydın and Denizli, one of the most important tourism and agriculture centers of our country, to the Kumkısık Junction by following our current state road from the south; from here it will open to the north and besiege our current state road and Denizli province from the north and connect to our current road in Kocabaş on the Denizli Dinar road.
Stating that industrial and agricultural products will be transferred to İzmir Port, which is the important export center of the region, through Denizli and Aydın, the General Manager said, "Access to important tourism centers such as Pamukkale, Ephesus, Didim and Kuşadası will be easier. he spoke.
