The promotion meeting of the Üzülmez Culture Valley project, which is planned to be implemented in Zonguldak in order to protect the industrial heritage and to bring it into tourism, was held. With the completion of the project, 110 years of history will come to life again.

Within the scope of the Western Black Sea Development Agency (BAKKA) Guided Project Support, the project, of which Zonguldak Provincial Special Administration is the beneficiary, is aimed to be completed in 500 days. With the project, it is aimed to re-function the subject area of ​​the project in a way to enrich the urban memory and urban life of Zonguldak and to bring the industrial heritage of the city to experience tourism.

In the project, areas such as open parking lot, city park, children's playground, landscape areas, tour tunnel, activity areas, squares, derebaca experience road, culture workshop, museum-restaurant, geopark museum will be created.

Speakers at the introductory meeting stated that the industrial structures of the project that have an important place in the social and economic memory of the city; They emphasized that by drawing attention to their visual importance, the qualities of their periods and the industrial history of the city, they will be re-functionalized in line with the current spatial needs, thus enabling the idle industrial buildings to be made a part of social life.

Within the scope of the project, it is planned to provide functionality to the Üzülmez Old Lavuar Building and the Old Workshop Building in Üzülmez Locality of Zonguldak province Central district. With the project, it is aimed to re-function the subject area of ​​the project in a way to enrich the city memory and urban life in the province of Zonguldak and to bring the industrial heritage of the city to experience tourism. The applicant of the project is Zonguldak Special Provincial Administration and the duration is 24 months. Zonguldak Tourism Infrastructure Services Union Presidency in the project, the Municipality of Zonguldak, Zonguldak Provincial Culture and Tourism Directorate and Turkey Hard Coal Enterprises (TTK) is located in the General Directorate of associates. Within the scope of the project, areas such as open car park, city park, children's playground, landscape areas, sightseeing tunnel, activity areas, squares, Derebaca experience road, culture workshop, museum-restaurant, Geopark museum will be created. Within the scope of these activities, the total budget of the project is 19.715.015,98 TL, and the Agency support amount is 9.998.732,09 TL.
