Mayor of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç announced that the duration of the HES code matching was extended until November 19 due to the intensity in the public transport card and HES code matching, which will be initiated as part of the fight against the Kovid-30 outbreak.

In accordance with the circular titled "HEPP Code Inquiry in Local Public Transport" issued by the Ministry of Interior, those who use public transportation must match their public transport cards with Hayat Eve Sığar (HES) codes. Making great efforts to use public transportation more safely and to minimize the risk of contamination, Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality has extended the HEPP code matching period until 30 November.

246 THOUSAND CARD HOLDERS HAVE MATCHED HES CODE

Making a statement on the subject, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç said, “As we have stated before, 1 million 35 thousand cards are defined in our transportation system. Out of 845 thousand people who use public transportation up-to-date and have mobility on their cards, 246 thousand card holders have made HES Code matching so far. Our expectation is the completion of the HES code matching of approximately 600 thousand cards that are actively used during the pandemic period ”.

5 THOUSAND 100 PEOPLE WHO HAVE RISKED IN HEPP INQUIRIES UP TO DATE, HAVE BEEN ON THE BLACK LIST

Emphasizing that the cards of cardholders who do not match HES code will be closed to public transportation until they are matched, Dr. Büyükkılıç said, “In the HES Code inquiries made so far, 5 thousand 100 people are on the black list because they are at risk. These people are prevented from using public transportation by the HES code inquiries made with the validator on the bus and rail system electronic ticket devices. When they want to get on a bus or tram, risky people are prevented from using public transportation with the validator warning. In addition, the cards of cardholders who do not match HES code will be closed to public transportation until they are matched ”.

RISKED PEOPLE ATTEMPT TO TAKE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AROUND 150-200 PER DAY

Büyükkılıç underlined that there are attempts to get on public transportation even though it is risky around 150-200 a day, “There is an attempt to board public transportation even though it is risky around 150-200 a day. Risky people who try to get on public transport are identified and reported to the Ministry of Health. The Ministry of Health shared with us the information that these people will follow up and apply the necessary sanctions ”.

Mayor Büyükkılıç added that the duration of HEPP code matching has been extended until 30 on 2020 November 23.59 due to the insufficient level of matching the number of public transport card and HEPP code and the intensity.
