The Mayor, who examined the residences in Uzundere allocated to the earthquake victims by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, Tunç Soyer“We are building a place where every need is met. We invite earthquake survivors to these residences where they will live without considering the rent for a year.”

Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyerexamined the residences in Uzundere, which were allocated to earthquake victims after the earthquake that shook İzmir. Expressing that 56 residences in 4 blocks, each of which has 224 flats, have been prepared to a large extent. Tunç Soyerstated that they want to end the lives of earthquake victims in tents as soon as possible.

President Soyer said, “We are making a perfect place. We prepare the buildings in a way that all their needs are met and we are waiting for our citizens. We are preparing a place where they can live peacefully in the cold, without dealing with real estate agents and brokers, without worrying about a year's rent. We also invite earthquake victims to these residences ”.

The items in the houses will also belong to the earthquake victims

Apartments allocated to earthquake victims were cleaned and made available. New items donated by important companies in the white goods and furniture sector were also placed in the residences with electricity and water connections. Earthquake survivors, who will have the right to live in residences for a year, will be able to take their belongings with them while leaving the house.

The old Hilton building is also ready

The final preparations for the earthquake victims, who temporarily stay in a tent, have been completed at the former Hilton hotel building. Disinfection and disinfection processes were carried out in the hotel rooms, the rooms were cleaned. Hygiene materials were placed in all rooms for earthquake victims to be placed on a total of 12 floors, including the 30th and 19th floors. A laundry with four washing machines and four dryers is also installed in the building. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality will serve three meals a day from the soup kitchen for the earthquake victims who will stay in the hotel building for three months. At the entrance of the hotel, a welcoming area with staff and a separate section for tea and coffee service has been created. Until January 31, Metropolitan Municipality personnel will be at the hotel for the needs and safety of the earthquake victims. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality will also meet the masks, gloves and disinfectant needs of the earthquake victims who will stay in the building. No visitors will be accepted to the rooms. The fever of those entering the building will be measured, and there will be a doctor and medical personnel in the building.

Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyerannounced that they allocated 5 rooms in the 380-star hotel building, of which the Metropolitan Municipality and Ata Holding are shareholders, free of charge, to the earthquake victims of Izmir for 3 months.
