President Seçer made important evaluations about the Metro project and said that the companies participating in the tender will determine the financial institutions themselves. Noting that the subway tender was initially canceled, but they could not focus on this issue due to the pandemic, President Seçer said, “The pre-qualification tender for this project was held on 9 October. This is the 1st Stage underground light rail system. Its total length is 7 thousand 930 meters. The part to be built with TBM is 4 thousand 880 meters long. At both start and end points, there is a tail length of 170 meters in one and 400 meters in the other storage areas. There are also 11 underground metro stations. The total length of this is 13.4 kilometers, ”he said.

Reminding that they changed the existing subway project after he came to the administration, President Seçer said, “Of course, Mr. President has also included this in the investment program and I think he has given us a positive discrimination on this issue. It has included our project in its 2019 program and this development means that our mobility will increase as soon as possible. We are in contact with the authorized department of the relevant Ministry on rail systems regarding this project change, ”he said.

Giving information about the cost and financial resources of the project, Mayor Seçer said, “Our tender is a construction tender. It includes the stations and tunnels and was built on the condition that the companies find their own financing. A study where the construction period is 4 to 6 years and the payment is 11 years after the construction is delivered. Prequalification was made for this tender. A total of 28 companies participated with 13 different offers. Investigations are about to be completed now. But as it is currently at the tender stage, it is not legal for me to provide a cost figure. After the first stage is over, we will receive offers from companies that have received prequalification permission. This is our metro project with the simplest and plainest expression. The companies that participate in this tender know that they will determine the financial institutions themselves. They are doing their own meetings. Some are negotiating with European and some with Chinese capital. "There are companies from Turkish, Chinese, Japanese, USA, Azerbaijan and Spain presenting files for the project."
"I am aware of your concerns"
Giving examples from the metro projects abroad, Mayor Seçer said that he understood the financial concerns and said, “Now there is this concern. I am aware. Stating that they will also consider the butterfly valley and panorama museum evaluations from the assembly member, Mayor Seçer said, “We are working on making a science museum. It is a study initiated by our Yenişehir Municipality in the previous period. He was currently failing. As a metropolitan city, we want to take over the area and finalize that construction and build a beautiful science museum.
