The winners of the 17th Interuniversity Logistics Case Competition, organized in collaboration with Mars Logistics and LODER (Logistics Association), have been announced.

Mars Logistics and Loder (Logistics Association), which is open to the participation of all university students in Turkey for 17 years and carried out in cooperation with the Interuniversity Logistics Case Competition ended with the announcement of the winner of the 17.'s.

A total of 1.000 students from 17 teams participated in the final stage of the 6th Interuniversity Logistics Case Competition, in which nearly 18 students in all categories applied.

In the final stage, which was held online for the first time due to the pandemic this year, students presented their case solutions online to industry representatives and academicians. After the presentations made in 3 categories, students of Bartın University, Eskişehir Osmangazi University and Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University were the first.

Students get to know and analyze the logistics industry through a case contest

Stating that the competition, which is open to all university students, was launched in 2004 in order to create an environment where researchers, curious and creative students will share their ideas, to introduce the sector to students and to develop students' case analysis skills, Kader Özal, Mars Logistics Corporate Communication and Brand Management Manager said, “As Mars Logistics, We are aware of the importance of vocational training and we are happy to meet with talented students who are interested in the logistics industry with the case contest we have organized in cooperation with Loder for 17 years. With the competition, we provide an environment where students can get to know the industry and analyze cases. They are involved in real cases and solution processes of the industry. Most of the students who participated in the case competitions in previous years and were awarded by entering the places are working in the fields of logistics and supply chain management, which shows that our case competition reached the right people. said.

The first place in the A Category (undergraduate and 4-year high school category with the word logistics in the program name) is Bartın University International Trade and Logistics Department students Melek EFE, Eray KİRENCİ and Gizem Sefa KİREÇCİ, while the second place in this category is the students of Piri Reis University International Logistics and Transportation Department. Nilüfer EFE became Ali Doğan KIZILGÜL and Ahmet Timur BARIŞCIL.

Category B (undergraduate and 4-year high school category without the word logistics in the name of the program) students from Eskişehir Osmangazi University Department of Industrial Engineering were Beyza GÜRBÜZ, Enis Can ÖZYURT and Fikri Eren ÇİFTÇİ, while the second place in Category B was Başkent University Industrial Engineering Department students Ecenur SEVİNÇ, Melis ÖZELKUT and Onur ÇÖLGEÇEN became.

In the C Category (2-year vocational high school category with the word logistics in the name of the program), Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Dalaman Vocational School students Buse BİLCEN, Fethiye Çağla ÖZAY and Tunahan DEMİREZEN won the first place, while the team that won the second place was Celal Bayar University Kırkağaç Vocational School students Zeynep KORKULU became Merve MALGIR and Rümeysa KARDAŞ.
