The deficiencies of 224 houses in four blocks belonging to İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, whose construction was completed in Uzundere, were completed immediately after the earthquake. For a year, earthquake victims will use the flats, where electricity, water is connected, white goods and furniture are placed. As the survivors leave, they will also take the items to their new homes.

Accelerating its work so that the earthquake survivors of Izmir can spend the winter months comfortably, the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality has made up for the deficiencies of 56 residences in 4 blocks, each of which has 224 flats in Uzundere. Announcing that these houses will be allocated to earthquake victims immediately after the earthquake, the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality Tunç SoyerElectricity and water connections of the flats were made, and the flats were cleaned. Brand new items donated by the leading companies of the sector in white goods and furniture were also placed in the residences. Earthquake survivors will be able to take their belongings with them when they leave the house, who will have the right to live for one year in the houses where all their needs such as washing machine, refrigerator, stove, oven, beds, armchairs, carpets and curtains are completed.

Apartments are ready, waiting for their owners. We are opening 380 rooms in the Hilton hotel building to earthquake victims. On the other hand, 58 flats will be allocated to earthquake victims at the Gaziemir Neighborhood Garage. Support for the 'One Rent One Home' solidarity campaign, which will bring together the disaster victims who need a home, and those who want to support them, is growing like an avalanche. We will continue to do everything we can to ensure that our citizens affected by the earthquake do not stay in tents during the winter months.”

Hilton is ready too

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality prepared 380 rooms in the old Hilton hotel building for earthquake victims. Metropolitan, which opened the 23,5-star hotel building, 5 percent of which belongs to the Municipality, for use for three months, will provide three meals a day for the earthquake victims in the hotel rooms.
