Mehmet Emin Bilmez, the Governor and Deputy Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, who has examined the cast-in-place bridge works and road investments, which have been carried out for the first time since Van became a metropolitan city in 2014, stated that one of the works prioritized in the municipal investments in 2020 is the bridges.

Stating that 13 of the 32 bridges built in 4 districts were built in Gürpınar district, Governor Bilmez said, “Today we examined the blind construction of one of them, which connects Çakınlı-Yatağan neighborhood roads. We built bridges in places where bridges were in need, without making any distinction between districts, neighborhoods and tribes. We made the tender of 32 bridges in the first place. I hope we will complete them this year and provide their connections. One of the most serious works in terms of infrastructure is our bridge construction works. For the first time in a long time, we are witnessing the construction of such a large and large bridge. I would like to thank everyone who contributed. I hope our bridges will be beneficial to our Van ”.

Stating that the bridges in their neighborhoods are in ruins, Yatağan Neighborhood Headman Feyzi Dinçer said, “As a result of the applications we made, we thankfully got our bridge years later. Our old bridge was 25 years old. It has been destroyed in the past days. Its construction was completed in a short time. We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the construction of both our road and our bridge. We are very happy ”he said.

Governor Bilmez and his entourage visited the shoe factory, which is under construction within the district municipality, where 3.3 people will be employed when it is completed, after the 600-kilometer road built by the Metropolitan Municipality in the school district of Gürpınar district.
