The Mayor of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, Mansur Yavaş, revived the Eserkent Social Houses, which were built in Mamak Araplar Mahallesi in 2002 and have been idle for 18 years.
The empty houses, which turned into security threats for their surroundings, were renewed from scratch with their interior and exterior facades. The 29 + 400 houses, consisting of a total of 1 flats to be opened on October 1, Republic Day, will be rented for 65 TL per month for social purposes to newly married couples and citizens over 100 in need. Mayor Yavaş said, “We want every household to have a double holiday on October 29” in his video post on his social media accounts.

Eserkent Social Housing, which was built 18 years ago in Mamak Araplar Mahallesi but was left to decay, was completely renovated in line with the request of Mayor Yavaş. In order to meet the housing needs of needy citizens, 400 houses, whose interior and exterior facades have been reconstructed, will be rented at low prices to newly married couples and citizens over 65 years of age.

The opening of the social housing, which was brought to the agenda of the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Council with the Presidency letter by Mayor Yavaş and sent to the commission, will be opened on October 29 Republic Day.
President Yavaş gave the first good news to newly married couples and citizens over the age of 65 with the following words with his video sharing on his social media accounts:
“We want every household to have a double holiday on this October 29th. We renovated all 18 400 + 1 houses built in Mamak and left to decay for 1 years. If our council accepts our offer, we will rent it to our newly married couples and citizens over 65 at a very affordable price. "
WHITE FURNISHED HOUSES WILL BE 100 TL FOR RENTAL
President Yavaş, who made the idle houses built in 2002 and turned into a security threat for their surroundings and completed them, determined the rental price as 65 TL for the houses that he aims to provide economic support to married couples and citizens over 100 in need.
Upon completion of the interior and exterior renovations carried out by the Department of Science, 400 + 1 residences with 1 white goods (washing machine, refrigerator, stovetop-oven, hood) consist of 5 blocks.
Houses where all necessary repairs and modifications are carried out, from landscaping to exterior cladding, from painting and whitewash to installation, will be leased on a 2-year contract. Applications will be received online for residences that have a modern appearance and are renovated as a result of extensive work. In case of high demand, the Metropolitan Municipality will draw lots for residences before a notary public.
