The duration of economic measures taken due to the pandemic is being extended. The President is authorized to extend the short-time work allowance until June 30, 2021.
According to the report of Veli Toprak from SÖZCÜ; “The duration of economic measures brought to eliminate the effects of the corona virus epidemic is being extended. The President is authorized until June 2021 regarding the duration of the short work allowance. Structuring work is underway on tax and SGK premium debts, and this work will be included in the meetings in the Parliament.
AKP Giresun Deputy Cemal Öztürk introduced new economic measures with the "Unemployment Insurance Law and Proposing Amendment to Some Laws" proposal submitted to the Presidency of the Assembly.
Gold-Foreign Currency Tax Exemption
The duration of the short work allowance is extended. The authority given to the Presidency in this regard is extended until June 30, 2021.
Turkey abroad opens up in front of the introduction of economic instruments such as gold-exchange. No tax will be charged if foreign currency and gold brought from abroad and not registered domestically (under the pillow) are registered. Those who register foreign currency and gold in this way will not be taxed until 30 June 2021.
Accommodation Tax Left to 2022
The time extension has come for the 'accommodation tax' expected by the tourism industry. The effective date of the accommodation tax is extended to January 1, 2022.
- Those who sell the goods they produce in their homes over the internet and similar electronic media will also be exempt from income tax.
- Income tax and stamp tax exemptions are imposed on service personnel who accept part-time employment.
- The president is authorized to reduce the corporate tax rate, which is 20 percent, by 5 points, and restore it to its previous level.
- A 20 percent deduction from payments made to jockeys, assistants jockeys and coaches is postponed until December 31, 2025.
