The ropeway project planned to be built in Izmit was discussed once more at the October council meeting. It was held in the council meeting room on the 9th floor of Izmit Municipality under the direction of Fatma Kaplan Hürriyet. It was said that the feasibility report on the construction of the ropeway was not finished at the council meeting where 19 agenda items were discussed and decided.
İzmit Mayor Fatma Kaplan Hürriyet promised in July that a cable car line be planned in the center of Izmit. The report of the Plan Budget Commission and the Development Commission in the ropeway project was discussed again at the council meeting. Speaking about the ropeway at the meeting, Hürriyet said, “The company that will issue the feasibility report said that the report will be issued up to 1 month. Our vice president responsible for reconstruction is following this situation ”. The item requested to be extended was transferred to the commission again.
