The first tablets were delivered to four households in the Dokuzlar village of Kiraz district. Following the evaluation of the requests from Kiraz district, tablets were given to 12 households in this district.
İzmir Metropolitan Municipality will distribute more than 3 thousand tablets throughout the city for school age children who do not have access to online education. The Metropolitan Municipality, which will also provide online education support consisting of 4 thousand internet packages of 20 GB per month, will also deliver boots, coats and stationery cards of 25 TL to 130 thousand children.
Fixed and mobile EBA access points were created for students receiving distance education due to the pandemic. İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer announced at a press conference the previous week that they will establish tablet support, internet support and EBA access points for their children.
