Hasan Büyükdede, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology, visited Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone and spoke highly of Eskişehir industry. Büyükdede said, “Eskişehir is a special city for us. There is a strong industrial infrastructure here. A province that produces added value. We have new projects for Eskişehir, ”he said.
Deputy Ministers of Industry and Technology Hasan Büyükdede and Dr. Çetin Ali Dönmez visited Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone Directorate to hold talks and negotiations. The Deputy Ministers were welcomed by Eskişehir OSB Board Chairman Nadir Küpeli. Industry and Technology Provincial Director Muhammet Taha Güven was also present at the visit. During the visit, President Kupeli gave information to Deputy Ministers Büyükdede and Dönmez about the work carried out in the OIZ during the pandemic period, the decisions taken during this period and the developments in the normalization process. Küpeli stated that, with the acceleration experienced since June, when normalization began in the fight against the new type of coronavirus epidemic, serious progress has been made in production and exports.
"We broke the investment record for the last 10 years"
Stating that they reached the highest figures of the last year in terms of investment in Eskişehir, Küpeli said, “There is a serious movement with the beginning of June, when normalization started. Our electricity and natural gas consumption is increasing, and in September, we exceeded the previous years in electricity consumption. The losses experienced in the first and intense period of the pandemic in the production and export leg are slowly being replaced. On the other hand, our investors have an intense interest in our region. We broke the investment record of the last 10 years this year in terms of new land allocations in Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone. 8 thousand square meters of land were allocated to 37 investors in 765 months. We anticipate making significant new allocations by the end of the year. During this period, we made a big investment and completed our EOSB Vocational High School and opened it to education, the construction of the units in the Life Center is rapidly increasing. We made a great effort to keep the wheels in the industry, ”he said.
"Gemlik Port and Hasanbey railway connection are important to us"
Stating that Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone is an OIZ that produces and exports high-tech products, President Küpeli stated that this rate is around 15 percent. Kupeli conveyed to the Deputy Ministers Büyükdede and Dönmez that the Hasanbey Logistics Center and Gemlik Port Connection are extremely vital and important for the development of Eskişehir industry and the provinces of the region.

Deputy Minister Hasan Büyükdede stated that Eskişehir is a special province for them and said, “We value Eskişehir very much. Eskişehir is a special city for us. There is a strong industrial infrastructure here. A province that produces added value. Eskişehir industry produces many high value added products, especially the aviation industry. Eskişehir is the heart of rail systems and aviation industry. We have to increase the share in these two sectors even more. We must bring new investments to our city. URAYSİM is a very important project, there are some problems experienced, we are trying to solve them. We must realize this important investment. In addition, there are new sectors and investment areas that we anticipate to develop by taking advantage of the knowledge in the aviation industry that we think to be in Eskişehir. "We are working on these," he said.
Deputy Minister Dr. Çetin Ali Dönmez said, “Eskişehir industry is very strong, there are very high quality companies here. You have a strong export structure. The high value-added export figure here is the target our country wants to reach. Eskişehir OSB is one of our most problem-free regions.
