The tender for the construction of the Çiğli Tramway organized by the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality was postponed upon the application from the companies. The tender will be held on Thursday, November 5th.

The Çiğli Tramway tender, organized by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Rail Systems Department, was postponed upon the application from 17 participating companies. The companies that were supposed to bid on Tuesday, October 20, asked for the tender to be held in November. The applications of the companies were accepted and the tender was postponed to 5 November.

To connect by bridge

Karşıyaka Çiğli Tram Line, which is the continuation of the tram, will be 11 kilometers long and will consist of 14 stations. Karşıyaka The line, which will start from Cevreyolu Station, will be connected to Çiğli İstasyonaltı Mahallesi with the connection bridge. Approximately 500 meters long connection bridge will pass over the ring road. In addition to the tram line, there will also be pedestrian and bicycle paths on the bridge. Most of the route was planned as a double line, passing through the middle medians of the existing streets and roads. New line; İZBAN Çiğli Station will serve Çiğli Regional Training Hospital, Ata Industry, Katip Çelebi University and Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone.
