Hikmet Karagöz, (born December 31, 1946, Vezirköprü, Samsun- d. 27 October 2020, Istanbul) Painter, theater, cinema and TV serial actor.
He was born on December 31, 1946 in Vezirköprü, Samsun. The artist, who started acting as an amateur at Eminönü Community Center between 1962-1963, became a professional at Küçük Sahne Ulvi Uraz Theater in 1964. In 1974, he started to act in TV productions with Yaşar Ne Yaşar Ne Yaşamaz. His transition to cinema was in 1982 with the movie "Interest Attack". He was widely recognized for his role as Abbas in the TV series Ours. He has been painting mainly in watercolor since 1986. He paints professionally and holds exhibitions.
Karagöz died at the age of 27 due to cancer in Istanbul on October 2020, 73.
