Turkey's leading manufacturers of home appliances and electronic appliances, founder of Profilo Jak Kamhi, 95-year-old lost his life.

Jak Kamhi (Date of birth 13 June 1925, Istanbul - Date of death 7 October 2020) Turkish businessman. He is the chairman and founder of Profilo Holding. The businessman is the father of Profilo Holding Executive Board Member and former deputy Cefi Kamhi. He is the grandfather of painter, interior designer, and business woman Melda Kamhi and contemporary artist and director Lara Kamhi.

He was born in Istanbul in 1925 as a child of a Jewish family. After graduating from Saint Michel High School and Yıldız Technical University, he specialized in "steel construction" in France. Steel construction, metal ware and electronics was a pioneer in the production of many firsts in Turkey. Profilo Holding Board of Directors, the President Kamhi, Istanbul Chamber of Industry, Economic Development Foundation, the Foreign Economic Relations Board, Turkish-French Business Council and Turkey's Union of Metal Industries (MESS) is the founder.

Career

Kamhi, who served as a member of the board of directors of TÜSİAD for many years, served 12 years as the first and only Turkish member of the European Industrialists Round Table (ERT). Twice in 1991 and in 2007 the Republic of Turkey Distinguished Service Medal, 1992 "by the Istanbul University" Honorary Doctor of Engineering "was awarded the title. Legion d'Honneur medal by the French government in 1991, Commandeur dans l'Ordre National du Merite by French President Jacques Chirac in 1997, Commander of the Order of the Spanish by King Juan Carlos I of Spain in 2003. He was awarded the Civil Merit Medal. Among the awards; issued by the Turkish-American Friendship Council leadership award in 1992.
