Tekirdağ Metropolitan Municipality, which continues its road construction and repair activities throughout the province, has largely completed the connection roads of the City Hospital, which will be opened in the district of Süleymanpaşa.
The construction of the connection roads that have been carried out since May by the Metropolitan Municipality Directorate of Science Affairs in order to provide citizens with comfortable and safe access to the newly opened City Hospital has been completed. Within the scope of the project, the teams will lastly lay the wear layer. The company, which has undertaken the construction of the City Hospital, is expected to finish the wall and landscape works in order to make the wearing course.
Within the framework of the works carried out meticulously by the teams, Çağlar, Yemen, Gülbağ and Işıltı streets were taken into the road network of Tekirdağ Metropolitan Municipality and SSB was opened to traffic as a concrete road.
From the completed roads, Çağlar and Yemen streets provide access to the City Hospital and Oral and Dental Health Hospital, as well as to the Presidency of the Department of Science. These streets will also provide a significant convenience for patients coming from the city center, Malkara and Muratlı to reach hospitals and shorten the road by about 2 kilometers.
ALL OPPORTUNITIES HAVE BEEN MOBILE FOR CITY HOSPITAL LINK ROADS
As a result of the works carried out by the teams of the Metropolitan Municipality Directorate of Science Affairs, a total of 3 meters was built. For these operations, 800 excavator, 1 trencher, 1 grader, 1 rollers, 2 asphalt paver were used. In addition, an average of 1 days of work with 10 trucks per day. 126 thousand cubic meters of excavation, 63 thousand cubic meters of sub-base, 11 thousand 3 cubic meters of SSB road, 500 thousand tons of binder asphalt construction has been completed. Within the framework of the work done, 3 million TL has been spent so far, including material costs. A road investment of 4,7 million TL is planned for laying the wearing course.
Tekirdağ Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Kadir Albayrak stated that the Engineering Department teams carried out a self-sacrificing work on the completion of the connection roads of Tekirdağ City Hospital, regardless of the notion of overtime, and said, “We have completed the construction of the connection roads of the city hospital, which is under construction in Süleymanpaşa district. As the last stage, after the wear asphalt is laid, it will be able to be put into service. We have done all the necessary work to ensure safe and comfortable transportation of our citizens to the City Hospital. “Good luck with our connection roads already”.
