While every point of the country is connected by air as well as by land, we also strengthen our social and economic ties with the world. As you know, with the Regional Aviation Policy initiated by our Ministry in 2003, our civil aviation has entered a very rapid growth process. As our President of the Republic pointed to us, in a short time the airway became the way of the people. Thanks to the opening of the private sector in aviation and the competitive environment created, a better quality civil aviation service has begun to be provided to our people. We have made a lot of investments to make this growth sustainable in quantity and quality. We increased our number of airports from 2003 in 26 to 56. We have increased our flight service from 2 centers to 26 points on domestic lines to 7 destinations from 56 centers. Our international flights to 50 destinations in 60 countries, on the other hand, reached 127 destinations in 329 countries. Our passenger traffic, which was 2003 million in domestic and international flights in 34, exceeded 2019 million in 209. With these investments, our sector turnover increased from 2,2 billion dollars to 27,2 billion dollars and our country took its place among the leading countries in the world in the field of aviation. Investments in Malatya

Ministers Karaismailoğlu, Malatya is located in the center of the international transport corridor Europe, Asia and the Middle East between passenger and freight transport, in terms of enhancing the competitiveness of Turkey reported that it has a great importance.

For this reason, Karaismailoğlu emphasized that they are aware of the importance of every project that will strengthen Malatya's transportation network and that they follow all projects closely.

“At this point, we know very well that Malatya, with its constantly growing economy, has increased the needs of airline transportation, which is the main actor of international transportation and trade. Our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan's instructions with airway investments in the revolution in 2003 began, in Malatya in Turkey as it is all very important developments in this area brought along. Aircraft traffic, which was 2003 in 1096, increased by 2019 percent in 392 to 5. The number of passengers, which was 389 thousand, approached 89 thousand. We increased the capacity of the terminal building with its current capacity of 750 thousand passengers. In this way, the economy of Malatya has grown in the last 500 years, its prosperity has increased and it has needed more investment. We determined that the extensions made due to the increasing passenger demand for air transportation could not meet the future needs. For this purpose, we decided to construct a new terminal building in Malatya, suitable for the desired service quality in passenger service. We have completed the project work and we will perform the tender for the Construction of Malatya Airport Terminal Building and Supplements on November 18, 2. "

Karaismailoğlu, who said that they will bring a new terminal building with an area of 26 thousand 765 square meters and a capacity of 2,5 million passengers to Malatya, said:

“We will not only build a terminal building. We will also build a 2 thousand 495 square meter heat and power center building, a 112 square meter apron barrier building, the airport entrance guardhouse, airport internal connection roads, parking lot, treatment facility, and a 48 thousand 900 square meter apron and ground services vehicle area. In other words, we are building a modern airport in Malatya, which is full of four, without any deficiencies. With its new terminal building and other complementary facilities, Malatya will assume a much more important position in air transport and traffic. The increase in the number of domestic and foreign visitors to Malatya will contribute to the development of tourism in the region. Trade activities will be more active. Malatya strengthens the transport and communication infrastructure, we are also preparing the future of Malatya, as well as all of Turkey. As the representatives of a tradition that sees service to the public as a service to the right, we will build the beautiful days we dream of for our country and Malatya together by working non-stop.
