İzmir Metropolitan Municipality put five more BİSİM stations into service in Bornova and Çiğli. With 18 stations opened in the last 15 months, the number of BİSİM stations in the city reached 50.
Aiming to increase the awareness and use of bicycles, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality continues to grow BİSİM under the General Directorate of İZULAŞ. Finally, five new stations were opened in Bornova Metro, Fethi Sekin Park, Cumhuriyet Park, Bornova Stadium and Çiğli Kasaplar Square. Having 18 stations 35 months ago, BİSİM has thus become to serve with 50 parking spaces, 900 single-person and 650 tandem bicycles at 70 stations throughout the city.
Children's bicycles are also coming
BİSİM, which has introduced tandem bicycles in the past months, especially for the visually impaired, is preparing to start 2021 with an attack. In addition to 10 new stations and 50 tandem bicycles, 120 children's bikes will be put into service at the beginning of the year.
