Traffic Lights Will Turn On At Abide Junction Even If The Power Fails; Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality has implemented one of its innovative projects within the scope of Smart Transportation Strategies.

Metropolitan Municipality established "Uninterruptible Power Supply System with Solar Energy" in order to prevent energy cuts at traffic lights at Abide intersection and to save money. Thanks to the system fed by solar panels and state-of-the-art batteries, there will be no interruption at Abide Junction even if there is electricity in the whole city. In addition, the system, which will benefit from solar energy throughout the day, will save electricity.

It has been reported that this project, realized by the Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department, is a first and will set an example for other provinces.
