Bicycle Roads in Antalya will be Planned According to Need by Using Bicycle

A bicycle unit is established within the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, Transportation Planning and Rail System Department. The team, which includes engineers, city planners and technical personnel, will plan the bicycle paths in Antalya according to the need by using bicycles.

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, Department of Transportation Planning and Rail System is establishing a cycling unit to support bicycle transportation. Department Head Tonguç said, “Our project was the integration of bicycle transportation with public transportation. In this project, we received a grant of 250 thousand TL as a reward and 8 bicycles were given as a gift. We will use these bicycles together with our friends in our Department. We are creating a unit of friends who use bicycles. Engineers and technical colleagues working in the cycling unit will set out with bicycles from time to time to determine the needs of cyclists and to improve bicycle paths. Our cycling unit will work to support cycling and to make cycling more usable as an alternative means of transportation, ”he said.
