University students who are preparing for TEKNOFEST to be held in Gaziantep this year in the workshop in Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Görükle Youth Center, will represent Bursa in the competition with their unmanned aerial vehicles. Providing all kinds of support to young people for TEKNOFEST, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş wished the young people success before the competition.

Three different teams from Uludağ University Project and Engineering Societies, which will participate in the Aviation, Space and Technology Festival (TEKNOFEST) on behalf of Bursa, to be held in Gaziantep this year between 24 - 27 September 2020, completed their work in their workshops at Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Görükle Youth Center. Young Engineers Community Unmanned Systems Team, one of the teams that continue their work with the support of the Metropolitan Municipality, will participate in the competition this year with 'rotary wing unmanned aerial vehicle and drone iha'. This team, which made it to the finals among 150 teams in TEKNOFEST last year, aims to win first place this year. The Rocket Team, created with the collaboration of ITU, Yıldız Technical University and Uludağ University students, will participate in the TEKNOFEST Rocket Competition in the "low altitude" category. The Unmanned Aerial and Land Vehicles Community will represent Bursa in the competition with its unmanned aerial vehicle capable of vertical landing and take-off.

Full support to young people

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş and his accompanying Bursa Deputy Ahmet Kılıç visited the young people preparing for the competition in their workshop at Görükle Youth Center. President Aktaş, who received information about the work of the youth, also carried out a test flight of an unmanned aerial vehicle that will participate in the competition with Deputy Kılıç. President Aktaş, who also carefully observed the separation test of the rocket head from the hull, then went to the workshop and saw the work here on site. With young people sohbet President Aktaş said, “I was excited about the future of our country. We saw here a generation that will produce high technology, unmanned aerial vehicles and SİHAs. I congratulate our young people on this occasion. He had requests both at the point of departure to Gaziantep and on some technical materials. We will provide the necessary support to meet these needs. As the Metropolitan Municipality, we will be with our youth today and tomorrow as it was yesterday. Their success is our success as Bursa.
