While we are talking about violence against women in the society, while experiencing many examples of women not being where they deserve, we also want to show the society this view and call out and announce what we actually deserve from here. I would like to state in the presence of women that we once again support the Istanbul Convention, which is a legal and legal guarantee for women ”.

After the screening of the promotional video prepared for the ceremony, speeches were made. The first speech at the ceremony was delivered by Medya İstanbul A.Ş. Özgür Soy was the General Manager.

"OUR EFFORT IS A SPECIAL EFFORT ON BEHALF OF TURNING INTO A CONTEMPORARY SOCIETY"

Speaking after Soy, İmamoğlu emphasized that an institution where women employees are concentrated will be in a contemporary and respected position. Saying, “This effort is not an effort to fit into the definition of equal opportunities for women and men,” Imamoğlu said, “This effort is a special effort for the formation of a modern society and for the transformation of future generations into a more qualified society. Today this badge ceremony has made me proud. We are aware of how women being in business life can bring peace to a society. A society in which both men and women produce and earn income in a nursery; then he will have his economic freedom ”.

"IN YOUR EYES, I CAN SEE THE THAT 'I HAVE HELPED'"

Comparing the numbers before and after his appointment, İmamoğlu said:

“2019 August; Exactly a year ago, only 66 out of 4 train drivers were women. A more striking figure; Only 684 of 11 total train drivers were women. With our 88 drivers who successfully completed their training today, the total number increased to 772 and the number of female drivers increased to 99 at a time. In other words, with this employment in 2020, employment for 93 people, 101 of whom were women, was created only in Metro Istanbul. This is actually a tremendous personal attention. Otherwise, you cannot manage such processes. It should also be underlined: When I look into the eyes of all our female drivers here, I can see the self-confidence in their eyes, the feeling of 'I have succeeded' in the process. "

“SOLE SCRATCHES; THEMSELVES"

Stating that they are the “only favor” of the women who are entitled to get a badge, İmamoğlu said, “Torpedoes; their savings are their own achievements, they are the people who labor for them, educate them, their mothers and fathers. So it is halal for you. This is your success, clap yourself. "They know best that no one needs their business card." Underlining that the recruitment process is completely transparent, İmamoğlu said, “They won with their own efforts. Now they will continue to earn their bread money and a living. They will add a morale, motivation and strength to the people who will join us in the next round. Therefore, I would like to thank all my fellow travelers who managed this process in a totally transparent manner in this respect. "Good for your labor."

"THE TRANSPORTATION PROCESS CANNOT BE DEFINED WITH A SINGLE INSTRUCTION"

Referring to the difficulties experienced due to the Kovid-19 process, İmamoğlu said, “Our health measures are ahead of everything. Especially transportation is one of the most difficult areas in this regard. There are measures taken or measures wanted to be taken. These measures can also be resolved with the maximum level of consensus, with the people managing this process being at the table. In other words, this process cannot be defined with a single instruction. Every city has its own sensitive situations. Each vehicle also has its own unique situations. In this sense, I hope, at the meeting we will hold with the Governorship today, I think that we will solve more specific measures and processes specific to Istanbul together ”.

"WE NEED NEW WOMEN AND MALE DRIVERS"

İmamoğlu emphasized that they are working devotedly to realize the halted and planned metro investments and used the following statements:

“Mahmutbey Mecidyeköy Line, which we will put into service especially on October 29, hopefully along with our Republic Day. We attach great importance to this line, which will serve nearly 400 thousand passengers a day. I also think it will make a serious contribution to Istanbul traffic. Because at the end of this year, we are in an intense effort to train Eminönü-Alibeyköy and to bring Istanbul together with the lines currently under construction, together with the new metro lines that we will open in 2021, both in production quality, process planning and in creating financing. . I want to announce this to the people of Istanbul. We need new male or female drivers. From here, we recommend that Istanbul residents make preparations. Let them continue to follow us. "

"HOW MUCH PRIDE YOU ARE WITH YOURSELF"

Referring to the Istanbul Convention, which is named after the city, at a ceremony about women, İmamoğlu shared the following messages:

“I would like to reiterate in the presence of our female employees how valuable this contract, which emphasizes the prevention of all kinds of discrimination against women, is in fact. It is much more important and valuable to have his name mentioned with Istanbul. While we are talking about violence against women in the society, while experiencing many examples of women not being where they deserve, we also want to show the society this view and call out and announce what we actually deserve from here. I would like to state in the presence of women that we once again support the Istanbul Convention, which is a legal and legal guarantee for women. I am excited to congratulate our 88 female drivers who will receive their badge. I wish you all success with your safe hands, with your conscientious spirit, your determined stance, and my belief that you will give the best example of the understanding of right and law. You cannot be proud of yourself for this proud picture you have given to your families. "

Among 7 applications, İmamoğlu successfully completed various processes and awarded 500 female machinists, who were acquired by Metro Istanbul, their badges. İmamoğlu, who symbolically gave the first 88 female drivers their badges, took pictures in alphabetical order with 6 new machinists.
