AK Party Trabzon Deputy Salkih Cora made a statement about the debate about the railway between Erzincan and Trabzon, which has been shifted to Rize, which has emerged in recent days. Cora stated that they met with Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, and that there was no question of shifting the railway to another location.
Descriptions of Salih Cora: Trabzon Railway project was promised to our city by our previous prime minister Binali YILDIRIM and our President Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN and it has gone through many stages.
In 2011, field projects related to the route were carried out with the contributions of our MPs and Gümüşhane MPs. 1/50 thousand maps were issued and completed in 2014 and delivered to the state railways. In 2018, with the great effort of our deputies, the study project of this place was tendered with the name of Trabzon Erzincan railway. At the end of the tender, a contract was signed with the ministry and the work was delivered to the contractor firm. The project work continues.
Last week, we met with our Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu. We also talked to ministry bureaucrats. Trabzon Erzincan Railway is neither shelved nor in limbo. Trabzon Erzincan Railway project works continue at full speed.
