The first screening of the "Black Box of the Planet: Antarctica" documentary about the 4th National Antarctic Science Expedition, which Turkish scientists set out to decipher the White Continent, will be held with the participation of First Lady Emine Erdoğan, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Under the auspices of the Presidency, under the coordination of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, 24 researchers sought answers to dozens of questions in their minds during the expedition organized by TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) Polar Research Institute (KARE) to White Continent Antarctica.

THE DOCUMENTARY OF THE ADVENTURE HAS BEEN WITHDRAWED

Prof. Dr. Ersan Başar was the expedition coordinator of Assoc. Dr. Burcu Özsoy's expedition was witnessed by the cameras. The 135-hour raw footage shot during the research turned into a documentary "Black Box of the Planet: Antarctica" that resembles a 57-minute visual feast.

THE WOMAN IS OUT OF THE MANAGER'S HANDS

The documentary of the expedition, which was carried out with the theme of 'climate change' this year and which included women researchers, was also written by a female director. The first screening of the documentary prepared by Burcu Camcıoğlu will be held at the Presidential Complex within the scope of TEKNOFEST events held in Gaziantep this year. First Lady Emine Erdogan will watch the preview of the documentary with the scientists participating in the 23th National Antarctic Science Expedition on Wednesday, September 4rd.

Documentary; TRT Documentary on Thursday, September 24, and TRT 27 screens on Sunday, September 1, will meet with the audience.

Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank said that the work of Turkish scientists was made under the witness of cameras and resembles a visual feast. Minister Varank, who shared his social media account, said, “The Black Box of the Planet: Antarctica documentary will meet with the audience for the first time on TRT screens. "Do not miss this documentary feast that tells about the adventure of Turkish scientists in the White Continent."

HISTORICAL MAIN EVIDENCE

Turkish scientists, who have been exploring the White Continent, which is known as the most extreme and isolated point of the world, since 2017, carried out 15 different projects for a month during the Fourth National Antarctic Science Expedition, far from the world they know, to understand the world. During the expedition, Turkish scientists witnessed the highest temperature (20.7 ° C) measured in Antarctica and the opening of a passage that had been covered with ice for centuries, melting for the first time in history.
