Underpasses Meet Art in Izmir

İzmir Metropolitan Municipality brings together the underpasses in the city with art. The first work on the underpass at the intersection of Buca Aydın Hatboyu Street and Kaynak Street was completed.

İzmir Metropolitan Municipality colors the underpasses in the city with art. The first of the mural designs made by the Department of Urban Design and Urban Aesthetics was applied at the crossing that separates the İZBAN line from the highway at the intersection of Buca Aydın Hatboyu Street and Kaynak Street. Artists Aslınur Ulus and Pınar Çetin completed the 425 square meter mural in about 10 days.

In the design for the underpass, patterns were preferred that would not restrict the visibility of existing traffic signs and would not distract drivers and pedestrians.
