Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality, which has implemented various practices in order to support alternative sustainable urban transportation modes with public transportation, walking and cycling within the scope of the European Mobility Week, also took steps to carry bicycles in municipal buses to encourage bicycle transportation. Citizens with bicycles will also be able to use their bicycles and buses thanks to the apparatus placed on the buses, within the scope of the application to be tried on the Vadişehir-Otogar line.
Turkey under the leadership of the Union of Municipalities of many local governments that provide support European Mobility Week September 16 to 22 in Eskisehir also brought along new applications in alternative forms of sustainable urban transport. Metropolitan Municipality, which recently opened its 6 parking lots for free parking for cyclists, has now started the period of transportation with bicycles in municipal buses. As part of the application, bicycle apparatus were installed on the front sections of the Black 63 numbered buses, which operate on the Vadişehir-Otogar line. The cyclists, who are able to transport by bus with their bicycles without paying any additional fee thanks to the apparatus, expressed their great pleasure with the application.
Stating that if the application results in a positive result, it can be supported by different lines, Metropolitan Municipality officials stated that they are determined to take new steps in bicycle transportation.
