Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk, Minister of Family, Labor and Social Services, announced that they will pay a total of 83 million TL to 36,7 thousand mothers as of today within the scope of the birth aid application.
Minister Selçuk said that maternity benefits cover all mothers who have just given birth, regardless of any income criteria. Reminding that mothers who applied for maternity assistance were paid 300 for their first baby, 400 for the second and 600 for the third and the following ones, Selçuk stated that they will deposit a total of 83 million TL in the accounts of 36,7 thousand mothers as of tomorrow within the scope of the birth aid application for September.
Minister Selçuk stated that they have provided a total of 4,7 billion TL maternity aid to 2,5 million mothers since the beginning of the practice.
On the other hand, Minister Selçuk noted that they expanded the scope of the birth aid application with the Multiple Birth Assistance Program launched in 2019, and stated that they provided support to needy families with twins and triple babies per month for two years under this program.
Selçuk said, “As stated by our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, one of the important elements of the economic development of our country is the dynamic population structure. The family is the building block of society and the protection of family structure is also of critical importance. For this reason, as the Ministry, we continue to extend the birth support we provide to our mothers. " said.
