Çorum Municipality had recently started to work on a different intersection at the 23 April Junction, which became useless with the completion of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Street. The intersection will be available to the citizens with the end of the busy and day-and-night works at the end of the weekend.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Mayor Dr. Halil İbrahim Aşgın said, “We are at the crossroad that connects Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Avenue to Fatih Street and Eşref Hoca Street and we continue to work day and night at this crossroad. We solved all problems related to infrastructure. We are completing the asphalt today as a superstructure. We will open this intersection to traffic as of tomorrow. Tonight, we will have completed our signaling work here. You know that there will no longer be a roundabout here; I hope we will bring together a new, modern intersection application with our city here. We are opening this intersection to traffic as of tomorrow, with all the signaling work completed, the asphalt paved and all our work completed. Of course, apart from these, small works such as road lines and landscaping remained; On the day we complete these until August 30, and hopefully open our Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Avenue to traffic on August 30, we will open our intersection with its new shape and new arrangement. Our citizens will start to experience the comfort and fluidity of the traffic here from tomorrow. Good luck to our citizens. " said.
Deputy Mayors İsmail Yağbat, Lemzi Çöplü and Zübeyir Tuncel as well as Science Director Miktat Yıldırım attended the examinations at the renewed 23 April Crossroad.
